On December 17, 2019 all drivers using automatic on board recording devices (AOBRDs) will be required to switch to electronic logging devices (ELDs). It is estimated that 3.5 million Class 8 trucks will need to make the shift, which could cause a decrease in productivity. In addition, drivers will need training as they transition to ELDs to ensure they are following the mandate. |
