On August 26th, U.S Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx announced that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) recommend installing equipment in heavy-duty vehicles with devices that limit their speeds on roadways. The devices are set to a maximum speed that could potentially save lives and save more than $1 billion in fuel costs per year. |
