Table 2-6: Incoming Rail Container Crossings by State, U.S.-Canadian Border

Most freight trains enter the United States through five states: Michigan, Texas, Minnesota, New York, and North Dakota. Three border crossings -- Port Huron, MI, Detroit, MI, and International Falls, MN -- account for more than half of all containers coming in to the U.S. from Canada by rail.
