Operations News - DetailsTalking Freight Seminar on June 18, 2014: Freight Advanced Traveler Information System (FRATIS) – Report on the Initial Metropolitan Area Deployments This webinar will discuss FHWA's Freight Advanced Traveler Information System (FRATIS) program, an initiative that utilizes both private sector freight shipment origin and destination information and public sector transportation system conditions information to optimize freight shipment routing, particularly for short-haul, drayage shipments in urban areas. FRATIS has been initially deployed in three significant urban freight hubs — Los Angeles, Dallas/Fort Worth, and south Florida (Miami) — and the webinar will include discussion about the Los Angeles and south Florida deployments.
