The 21st Century Truck Partnership (21CTP) is a cooperative research and development partnership including 4 federal agencies and 15 industrial partners with goals such as reducing fuel consumption and emissions, and improving heavy-duty vehicle safety. The Nation Research Council has released a report reviewing the 21CTP in the areas of management and priority setting, efficient operations, and the new SuperTruck program. In addition to the review of the 21CTP program, this report recommends specific program goals that should continue to be established, reviewed, and updated. |
