The Offices of Freight Management and Operations, and Transportation Policy Studies completed a study on Longer Combination Vehicles (LCV) on Exclusive Truck Lanes, which is focused on Interstate 90 in Pennsylvania. The study analyzes connecting the Ohio Turnpike to the New York Thruway, thus creating a Longer Combination Vehicle (LCV) network from the Illinois boarder (close to Chicago) across New York. A Reason Foundation analysis of potential exclusive truck lane operations identified this corridor as one of the most promising routes. |
