Description Shippers are seeing higher charges and fewer options when it comes to air freight. A 70 percent increase in the cost of jet fuel has caused airlines to pass the cost along to the shipper. In addition, as airlines face capacity reductions, shippers will have fewer options for moving their goods through the air. As a result, shippers are increasingly moving away from air freight and using trucking for national transport and ocean freight for international transport.
