In January of this year FHWA terminated the interim authority since 2004 to use the Clearview font for highway signs. The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, comprised of CEOs of state DOTs, voted on November 15 to urge the FHWA to reinstate the interim approval for Clearview. FHWA is now seeking comments until January 27 on how state DOTs currently use the Clearview font for their highway signage. |
