The latest edition of American Trucking Associations covers the future of freight transportation, and shows projected growth in both overall freight volumes and in the amount of goods moved by truck. According to Forecast, between 2016 and 2027, overall freight tonnage will grow a total of 35%. Over that same timeframe, the amount of freight moved by trucks will grow slightly less at 27%. The forecast also covers other modes of transportation such as, truck, rail and water, and projects growth for each category into 2027. |
