This is a schematic showing two flow diagrams, one for the physical
freight flow, and the other for the information flow. The physical freight
flow is a depiction with similar information as shown in Figure 1. The
information flow is lined up above the physical flow, to show how the
information flows as a parallel track with the physical. The actor
providing each information transaction is shown, as is the type of technology
used in the transaction.
